Working with the waste and recycling sector in Wales

Waste and recycling businesses play an important and growing role in Wales’ circular economy.  Furthermore, evidence indicates that small to medium-sized enterprises often don’t have access to segregated collection services for recycling.  WRAP Cymru has supported a number of Welsh businesses operating within the resource management sector to increase their collections of commercial and industrial waste, and in particular those handling food, paper / card, metals, plastic and packaging.

We have assisted several small and medium-sized waste management facilities in Wales, providing them with fully-funded one-to-one support from our industry specialists.  This assisted them with:

  • Developing markets / undertaking market analysis;
  • Increasing source-segregated collections; and
  • Delivering high quality recyclate into the marketplace.
