Consumer behaviour and sustainable clothing

Through Love Your Clothes, WRAP is investigating consumer attitudes to sustainable products as well as encouraging consumers to take a more sustainable approach to clothing.

Re-use and recycling

Organisations in the clothing industry can find new opportunities and develop fresh revenue streams by capturing some of the clothing that is discarded, with more than 25% of post-consumer clothing ending up in the household waste bin.

The SCAP voluntary agreement enables re-use organisations, reprocessors and local authorities to build effective partnerships, gain advice on good practice and implement schemes to increase collection rates.
