The current highlights and trends are:

Wood gate fees

Gate fees for high grade wood averaged £11 per tonne in December    2017, a decrease of £4 per tonne from the previous period in 2016. The wood gate fee for low grade wood was £44 per tonne in December 2017, £6 per tonne less than prices seen in December 2016.

Wood PRN prices

Wood PRN prices reached £3 per tonne in December 17. This was the highest price seen since January 2016. 

Wood packaging recycling

In 2017Q3, the amount of wood packaging reprocessed in the UK amounted to 275kt, an increase of 22kt compared with 2016Q3 and 27kt more than 2017Q2.
