The current highlights and trends are:

Gate fees and compost prices

The gate fee for in vessel composting (IVC) sites in February and March remained at around £37.50 per tonne, the same price as gate fees seen in January 2017. Anaerobic Digestion (AD) gate fees currently stand at £17.50 per tonne, down £3.50 per tonne on prices seen 12 months ago. Gate fees for open air windrow (OAW) sites remained at £24 per tonne, £2 per tonne less than in the same period in 2017.


Fertiliser prices

Blended 20.10.10 bags prices reached £243 per tonne in January 2017, exceeding prices seen during the same period last year. AN (bags) also saw an increase to around £241 per tonne, around £10 per tonne down on the same period the previous year. Due to a publication break in the source of this data we are currently unable to update the UK fertiliser prices further.
