Case study: student volunteer originations supporting surplus food redistribution in Wales

In Swansea the local student volunteer organisation, Discovery, joined with their local Morrisons store and Swansea University to set up a pilot scheme to redistribute surplus food.

Our case study shows how in just four months, surplus food with a value of £3,000 was collected from just one store and redistributed to local charities. It also outlines how to implement successful SVO redistribution schemes and highlights the benefits of such schemes at a local and UK level. Further information can be found here
