Well done Wales!

Beth Winkley

I’m sorry I’ve been quiet for a while – I’ve been away on holiday for a week. I’m back at work now, though, and it feels as though I’ve never been away. Why is it when you’re out of the office for a few days you always come back to a diary that appears ten times busier than it was when you left?

Thankfully the WRAP Cymru team has an exciting schedule for the next couple of weeks, starting with the Wales Business Insider Energy Forum at Celtic Manor on 27 January. The Business and Markets team will be on hand to tell businesses all about WRAP advice and support; do say hello to them if you’re attending.

Next week – 1 February – sees our information day for manufacturers, which we’re holding with C-Tech Innovation up in St Asaph. There are a few places still available but given that the South Wales equivalent was very well-attended I’d suggest you book as soon as you can. The easiest way is to call the office on 029 2044 8090 or you can go online for more details about our REMake programme of support for manufacturing SMEs.

There’s lots more going on but I’ll leave it at that for the moment because I want to leave space to say a big congratulations to Welsh householders and local authorities for achieving the highest municipal recycling rate yet (in July to September 2011). Keep up the good work!
