ARID Project Grants
The Accelerating Reprocessing Infrastructure Development (ARID) project seeks to reduce levels of waste deposited in landfill by increasing and developing the capacity to reprocess recyclable waste in the Convergence regions of Wales.

The following grant schemes are available from WRAP Cymru and are funded through the Welsh Government and the European Union Regional Development Fund (ERDF). All grants are only available to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the Wales Convergence Region. The maximum level of funding is 40% of total eligible costs.

ARID Large Scale Infrastructure and Reprocessing Facilities in Wales Grant

This grant scheme offers Capital support to facilitate development of the reprocessing infrastructure in the Convergence region, to add value to recycled materials and ensure quality input materials are readily available for use by the manufacturing sector.
ARID Commercial Collection Facilities Grant Scheme
This grant scheme, funded through the Welsh Government and the European Union Regional Development Fund (ERDF), offers capital support to assist Welsh SMEs who are investing in new or expanded recyclate collection or ‘bring site’ infrastructure for SME customers.
ARID Recycled Content Grant Scheme
This grant scheme, funded through the Welsh Government and the European Union Regional Development Fund (ERDF), offers capital support to assist SME manufacturers to incorporate or increase their use of recyclate as input material for manufacturing products, processes or packaging. Applicants are encouraged to seek sources of recyclate from within Wales, to facilitate local supply and demand.
